President Rodrigo Duterte has accused Senator Antonio Trillanes IV anew of being gay.
In a speech in Davao City Friday (June 21), Duterte said no less than his own waiter claimed that Trillanes, a former soldier, is a homosexual.
“Nanonood ako ng TV sa ano– sa sala, sa bahay ko. May ano ba yung mga waiter ko. Sabi niya, nakita niya si Trillanes nagayawyaw. Sabi niya, ‘huwag mong pansinin ‘yan siya.’ ‘O bakit? Hindi ko man pinapansin ‘yan.’ ‘Sir bakla man ‘yan,’” Duterte recalled during the oath taking of his children Sara, Paolo and Sebastian as local officials.
Duterte said his waiter was certain Trillanes was gay.
“Sabi ko, totoo ka?’ ‘Sir, sure ako bakla ‘yan. Magtanong ka mh bakla, kung mag-asta ‘yan,” he shared.
Despite branding one of his most vocal opponents as gay, Duterte said he had nothing against homosexuals.
He claimed he even used to defend his gay room mates from bullying when he was staying at a dormitory as a student in Manila.
